Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill outlawing lab-grown meat, aiming to “save our beef.” The bill, S.B. 1084, prohibits the manufacture and sale of such meat. Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner praised the move, calling it a protection of farmers and traditional agriculture.
However, Good Meat, a cultivated meat company, expressed disappointment, arguing the law restricts consumer choice and hinders efforts to mitigate climate change.
