Sarah Matthews, former spokesperson for Donald Trump, expressed concern over the influence of extremist figures like Laura Loomer in a potential second Trump administration. Speaking with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Matthews warned that individuals with controversial views, such as Loomer, could hold positions of power if Trump wins in 2024.

Matthews highlighted Loomer’s history of racist and anti-Muslim comments, including remarks targeting Vice President Kamala Harris. Loomer has recently been seen in close proximity to Trump, though she does not hold an official campaign role. Trump has distanced himself from some of Loomer’s remarks, but Matthews warned that a future Trump administration could be filled with “yes men and women” rather than individuals who challenge his decisions, as seen in his first term.

Republican lawmakers have condemned Loomer’s comments in an effort to distance Trump’s campaign from her rhetoric.
