The U.S. and UK militaries have conducted strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen, responding to the rebels’ attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea, purportedly supporting Hamas. The Houthis, controlling much of Yemen and backed by Iran, threatened retaliation, potentially escalating regional conflict.

In a separate operation, the U.S. launched an additional strike against the Houthis, as confirmed by two U.S. defense officials.

Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement, facilitated by Qatari officials, for delivering medicine to hostages in Gaza. This deal, announced by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, aims to distribute the medication shortly.

At the United Nations’ top court, Israel defended itself against South Africa’s genocide accusations concerning the Gaza war. South Africa urged the International Court of Justice to immediately stop the conflict. However, a decision from the court may take weeks.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports over 23,700 deaths and 60,000 injuries in Gaza since the war’s onset, with thousands missing. Conversely, Israeli military officials noted at least 186 soldier fatalities during their ground invasion of Gaza.
