Elon Musk accused Steve Bannon of being connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, further intensifying his feud with Donald Trump and the president’s MAGA allies. “Bannon is in the Epstein files,” Musk posted Tuesday on X, referencing documents surrounding Epstein’s alleged blackmail operations involving powerful figures.
Bannon previously interviewed Epstein for a never-released documentary before Epstein’s 2019 jail death. Critics accused Bannon of trying to rehabilitate Epstein’s image, though he denied such claims.
The feud stems from Musk’s opposition to Trump’s sweeping tax cuts, which passed Congress earlier this year. Bannon had recently called for Musk’s arrest and deportation, prompting Musk to fire back with the explosive accusation.
Trump dismissed questions about Epstein, saying, “Are people still talking about this guy, this creep?”
Musk previously defended Pam Bondi and Kash Patel over missing surveillance footage tied to Epstein’s death but has since demanded Trump release all Epstein-related files.
