A group of election workers and law enforcement officials recently gathered in Traverse City, Michigan, to discuss the increasing threats to local election offices. The meeting was part of a national effort to train election workers on how to respond to threats and work with law enforcement to counter them.

The former city clerk of Rochester Hills, Tina Barton, played a recording of a threatening call she had received, emphasizing that such threats are becoming common across the country. The threats to election offices, fueled by false claims about the 2020 election, pose a significant challenge as the nation approaches another presidential election.
