The Department of Justice announced charges Monday against Cooper Frederick, accused of firebombing a Tesla dealership on March 7 in Loveland, Colorado. The FBI later arrested Frederick in Plano, Texas.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Frederick faces federal charges related to domestic terrorism. “If you take part in the wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, we will find you, arrest you, and put you behind bars,” Bondi said. “There will be no negotiating.”

This case follows the DOJ’s March 20 announcement that three individuals involved in Tesla-related attacks had been charged under domestic terrorism statutes.

Frederick’s case marks the latest incident in a series of vandalism and arson attacks targeting Tesla vehicles, charging stations, and dealerships. The attacks have been linked to opposition over Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration.

Bondi warned that further prosecutions, including those targeting alleged organizers and financiers of the vandalism, are underway.

Tesla stock has fallen 40% in the past year, dropping from a peak of $428 to $259 per share.
