A 19-year-old government aide known by the alias “Big Balls” has resigned from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), following the departure of White House adviser Elon Musk. Edward Coristine, a high school graduate, had access to high-level interagency meetings and U.S. payroll systems, according to reports.
The White House confirmed Coristine’s exit Monday. He is no longer active on his federal Google Workspace account, WIRED reported. Coristine previously worked at Neuralink and founded Tesla.Sexy LLC in 2021. Bloomberg previously noted he was dismissed from an internship for sharing sensitive data.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) drew laughs earlier this month during a hearing, asking, “Now that the national divorce is happening… who’s going to get ‘Big Balls’?”
Coristine had told Northeastern University’s student newspaper he would not return to school after joining DOGE. His recent work focused on fraud prevention and reducing federal spending.
The resignation marks another shift within DOGE, a digital agency launched under President Donald Trump, as its future leadership remains in flux.
