The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Biden campaign are preparing a robust counter-offensive for the upcoming Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, aiming to spotlight former President Trump’s agenda if he wins reelection. The campaign will utilize billboards, press conferences, and ground surrogates to emphasize Project 2025, a policy blueprint by a conservative think tank potentially guiding the next Republican administration.

DNC communications director Rosemary Boeglin criticized Trump’s record and his “extreme Project 2025 agenda.” The DNC plans to install 16 billboards around Milwaukee and a mobile billboard near the convention site. The Biden campaign will hold daily press conferences and deploy high-profile surrogates, including Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D), and Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas), to challenge the GOP’s messaging.

Project 2025, published by the Heritage Foundation, outlines potential Republican policies on abortion, immigration, climate, tax policy, and government regulation. Vice President Harris and President Biden have both recently addressed Project 2025, highlighting its implications and urging the public to familiarize themselves with it.

Trump has sought to distance himself from Project 2025, denying any connection and labeling some of its proposals as “ridiculous and abysmal.” Despite this, a CNN report revealed that at least 140 former Trump administration officials are involved with Project 2025.
