The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) on Tuesday released its list of 35 House Republican districts it plans to target in the 2026 midterms.
The “Districts in Play” list includes high-profile Republicans such as Reps. David Schweikert (AZ), Young Kim (CA), Cory Mills (FL), Ashley Hinson (IA), Don Bacon (NE), Tom Kean Jr. (NJ), Mike Lawler (NY), and Scott Perry (PA). Open seats in Michigan’s 10th and Kentucky’s 6th districts are also included, currently held by Republicans running for higher office.
Several new names appear on the target list since 2024, including Hinson, Mills, Max Miller (OH), and Andy Ogles (TN).
DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene (D-WA) cited President Trump’s tariffs, Elon Musk’s unpopularity, and proposed Medicaid cuts as key liabilities for Republicans.
“House Republicans are running scared, and they should be,” DelBene said in a statement.
The National Republican Congressional Committee released its own target list last month, focusing on 26 Democratic-held seats.
