WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democrats are criticizing CBS News for omitting parts of President Donald Trump’s 60 Minutes interview involving corruption allegations tied to his family’s cryptocurrency ventures — just months after Trump sued the network for similar editing of a 2024 interview with then–Vice President Kamala Harris.

The network’s 73-minute extended version of the interview, posted online Sunday, left out a segment in which anchor Norah O’Donnell asked Trump if he was “concerned about the appearance of corruption.” Trump’s halting response — “I can’t say, because — I can’t say — I’m not concerned” — and follow-up comments about U.S. crypto dominance did not appear in the published video but remain in the official transcript.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) mocked the omission on X, writing, “Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview.” FCC Chair Brendan Carr dismissed the criticism, noting the agency couldn’t process filings “due to the Schumer Shutdown.”
