Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is facing backlash after a leaked hot mic recording allegedly captured him saying he would “f***ing kill” conservative media personality Tucker Carlson. The comment, made after a GB News interview, quickly went viral before the original video was deleted.

Carlson responded by daring Crenshaw to meet him in person, while figures like Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Elon Musk criticized the remark. Crenshaw later dismissed concerns, responding “lol, no” when asked if he had made a death threat.

The feud between Crenshaw and Carlson has spanned years, with disputes over U.S. aid to Ukraine, Israel’s conflict with Hamas, and Republican leadership. Crenshaw has labeled Carlson a “cowardly, know-nothing elitist,” while Carlson has accused Crenshaw of being a “neocon” and part of the “donor class.”
