According to the New York Times,  senior Biden administration officials, classified documents containing American and NATO plans to assist the Ukrainian military in anticipation of a potential conflict with Russia were recently shared on social media platforms. The Pentagon is currently investigating the source of the leak, which was disseminated through Twitter and Telegram, a widely available platform in Russia.

Some military analysts have pointed out that the leaked documents appear to have been altered, with certain parts of the documents overstating the number of Ukrainian casualties and downplaying the number of Russian troops killed. This suggests that there may be a disinformation campaign being carried out by Moscow.

The leak of the original documents, which included details on anticipated weapons deliveries, troop and battalion strengths, and plans, is considered a significant breach of American intelligence related to its efforts to assist Ukraine.
