Chris Cuomo revealed on “Real Time with Bill Maher” that he wrote in his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, for president in the recent election. Andrew Cuomo, who resigned as governor amid sexual harassment allegations, has consistently denied wrongdoing.

“I got some heat for who I voted for for president,” Chris Cuomo said, admitting he misspelled Andrew’s name on the ballot. He described the official choices as “unacceptable,” criticizing the Democratic Party for what he called an embarrassing election cycle.

Maher questioned why Cuomo didn’t vote for Kamala Harris, but Cuomo stood by his decision, expressing dissatisfaction with the Democrats’ campaign approach.

Democrats have faced internal criticism for their messaging on key issues like immigration and the economy, which exit polls indicate failed to connect with voters. Party leaders are debating who is to blame for Vice President Harris’s loss and Republicans’ gains in Congress.
