Attorney General Pam Bondi declined to answer questions Tuesday regarding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation or her reported conflict with FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino. During a DEA press event, Bondi focused on law enforcement drug seizures and refused to address growing calls for transparency.

The pressure follows a memo from the Department of Justice and FBI concluding there is no evidence Epstein had a “client list” or was murdered—findings that have angered parts of the MAGA base.

Tensions escalated after Bongino reportedly clashed with Bondi at the White House and took personal leave last Friday, according to Axios. When asked about personnel matters, Bondi said, “I’m not going to discuss personnel matters.”

Donald Trump defended Bondi, saying she’s “done a very good job,” but supported calls from Lara Trump for “more transparency.” Trump added, “Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.”

Asked if Bondi briefed him on whether his name appears in the files, Trump replied, “No, she’s given us just a very quick briefing.”

Bondi, meanwhile, stated, “Our memo speaks for itself.”
