Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has launched her 2026 reelection campaign with a promise to “pursue the truth about UFOs,” according to an email sent to supporters. The message accused the U.S. government of hiding information about unidentified flying objects and claimed that “bureaucrats in Washington act like we’re too naive to handle the facts.”

Boebert’s campaign said Americans “deserve to know what’s really going on up there,” while dismissing critics who view the message as fringe. Democratic strategist Andy Boian told KDVR that the email “sounds like a cry for help,” suggesting it reflects financial and political pressure amid a federal government shutdown.

Boebert, who narrowly won reelection in 2022 and shifted to a safer conservative district in 2024, has previously raised UFO-related questions in Congress. At a 2024 hearing, she asked witnesses whether aliens could have built an underwater base.

Her campaign insists the UFO-themed fundraising pitch has resonated with voters who distrust government secrecy on unidentified anomalous phenomena.
