The Oval Office meeting, described as “cordial and gracious” by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, underscored Biden’s commitment to a smooth transition. Biden noted, “I want to make sure this transition goes smoothly,” adding that the process might involve an “internal reckoning” for Trump.
