President Biden, speaking at a fundraising event in Seattle, stated that former President Trump “snapped” after losing the 2020 presidential election. Biden described Trump as being “obsessed” with his loss and “clearly unhinged.”
Biden’s remarks come amidst the ongoing criminal hush money case against Trump in Manhattan, marking a historic first for a current or former U.S. president. Biden also acknowledged the upcoming election will be another close race, despite feeling good about the state of his campaign.
However, Biden currently trails Trump in most polls, with Trump leading by .02 percent according to Decision Desk HQ/The Hill. The fundraiser, reported by CNN, was held at the house of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley. Biden assured donors that he will strive not to disappoint them.
