Steve Bannon lashed out at Elon Musk Friday over the tech mogul’s proposal to launch a new political party. On his “War Room” podcast, the former Trump adviser mocked Musk as “Elmo the Mook” and questioned his loyalty to the U.S., suggesting the South African-born billionaire should be deported.
Musk reignited the third-party idea hours before Trump signed the “big, beautiful bill” into law, posting a poll on X asking whether he should launch the “America Party.” He criticized both major parties as part of a broken system.
Bannon, a longtime critic of Musk, said the idea was un-American and accused Musk of planning to undercut the “Make America Great Again” movement. Musk fired back online, calling Bannon a “fat, drunken slob” and predicting he would return to prison.
Bannon recently completed a four-month sentence for defying a congressional subpoena related to the January 6 Capitol attack. Their feud highlights deepening rifts among right-wing factions.
