Las Vegas, Nevada – Several people became seriously ill after exposure to what authorities describe as a possible biological laboratory operating out of a residential home in the Sunrise Manor area, according to investigative documents obtained by local media. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and the FBI searched the home on January 31 after receiving tips about laboratory equipment and hazardous waste stored inside the property, which also functioned as a short-term rental.

Investigators reported finding refrigerators containing vials of unknown liquids, along with other lab-related materials in a locked garage. Witnesses told authorities the space smelled “like a hospital,” but foul and stagnant. According to court documents, at least two individuals who entered the garage later became “deathly ill” and were unable to get out of bed for several days. Reports also described dead crickets inside the home and multiple people experiencing unexplained sickness.

Ori Solomon, 55, was arrested and charged at the state level with improper disposal of hazardous waste tied to the storage of hydrochloric acid. Federal prosecutors later filed gun-related charges, alleging Solomon illegally possessed firearms while in the U.S. on a non-immigrant visa. Investigators say Solomon is connected to a separate federal bio lab case in California involving misbranded medical devices and pathogen-labeled materials.

Authorities are testing samples from the Las Vegas property, and officials say additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.
