Federal authorities are investigating an early Wednesday morning incident in which a man drove his car into the gate of an FBI facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Witnesses said the driver exited the vehicle, draped a U.S. flag over the gate, and shouted toward the building before leaving on foot.

“He got out and went around the passenger side and pulled something out … I thought it was a gun, but it happened to be a flag,” said witness Nakeisha Brown, describing how the suspect placed it on the fence before yelling and walking away.

The FBI confirmed there were no injuries. Officials said red messages had been written on the car’s driver’s side door. A bomb squad was deployed to secure the vehicle.

The suspect was identified as Donald Henson of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. “We look at this as an act of terror against the FBI,” said Assistant Special Agent in Charge Christopher Giordano, calling the crash a deliberate attack.
