Florida — Dozens of major corporations and trade groups have donated to the campaign committee of Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) even after he publicly used rhetoric calling for starvation, mass killing, and nuclear attacks against Palestinians, according to federal campaign finance records.

Since winning a special election in April, Fine has repeatedly used his congressional platform to promote extreme language. In May, he referred to Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) as a “Muslim terrorist” and reacted to images of starving children in Gaza with hashtags such as “StarveAway.” Later that month, Fine told Fox News that Israel should “nuke” Gaza, explicitly comparing Palestinians to Japan during World War II.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations designated Fine an anti-Muslim extremist in June, citing years of Islamophobic and violent statements. CAIR has called for his censure and removal from committee assignments, particularly the Foreign Affairs Committee, to which Fine was appointed the same day he posted comments mocking starvation in Gaza.

Despite this record, more than 40 corporate and trade PACs have contributed to Fine. Donors include major defense contractors such as Boeing, General Dynamics, and Elbit Systems, as well as healthcare insurers including Elevance Health, Centene, and Cigna. Fine sits on the House Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, which oversees employer-based health plans.

Investigative outlet Sludge contacted each corporate PAC that donated to Fine to ask whether his statements align with their values or whether future contributions would be reconsidered. None responded, raising further questions about corporate political accountability.
