President Donald Trump effectively killed any chance at a stimulus package ahead of the presidential election when he tweeted Tuesday that he won’t agree to a deal “until after the election.”
Trump lashed out at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who shepherded through the House a $2.2 trillion dollar stimulus package aimed at Americans struggling from the pandemic.
In the minutes after his tweet, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged more than 400 points.
