A nonprofit research group called the Center for Countering Digital Hate recently released a report about the prevalence of hate speech on Twitter during Elon Musk’s tenure as CEO of his social media company, X (formerly known as Twitter).
However, Musk’s personal lawyer has threatened legal action against the group, accusing them of having a hidden agenda and making unfounded claims in their report.
The Center for Countering Digital Hate denies receiving funding from tech companies or governments and considers itself a watchdog for social media companies that do not adequately address hate speech and misinformation on their platforms.
