House Democrats have postponed a vote on a resolution to censure Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), following a similar move by Republicans who blocked a censure resolution against Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.). The resolutions, seen as retaliatory, emerged after Greene criticized Tlaib’s remarks on Israel and Hamas attacks.

Rep. Becca Balint (D-Vt.) delayed the vote against Greene, citing the 23 Republicans who opposed Greene’s resolution as a factor. Balint’s resolution accuses Greene of promoting various forms of hatred and conspiracy theories, including the 9/11 truther conspiracy and defending the January 6 Capitol rioters. It also mentions Greene’s display of explicit posters of Hunter Biden during a Congressional hearing. Balint expressed readiness to call for a vote if offensive rhetoric continues.
