Yeah, I’m guessing this isn’t going to be around for too long. Back in October, X owner Elon Musk agreed with a proposal to include a profile indicator in some form for users who regularly receive Community Notes corrections. In October, Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), agreed to a proposal that would implement a profile indicator for users frequently corrected by Community Notes. This feature aims to highlight those who have previously shared misinformation on the app. By providing additional context, the trust in these profiles could be reduced, and X might consider limiting the reach of their posts for repeated misinformation, as Community Notes is deemed a reliable truth indicator.

A new website now reveals the users most frequently flagged by Community Notes. Notably, several profiles that Musk regularly interacts with, including his top supporters, feature prominently on this list. The top 30 profiles with the most Community Notes are:

  1. @choquei
  2. @iluminatibot
  3. @jacksonhinklle

Musk himself ranks at #28, suggesting that if X were to use Community Notes as a trust indicator, his profile would be among those scrutinized. The Elipsoid compiled the Community Notes ranking, providing insight into who is most often checked by the system.

Musk has advocated for Community Notes as a key tool in crowd-sourced moderation, favoring it over platform management making moderation decisions. However, researchers argue that Community Notes alone is insufficient for stringent moderation. The EU has even launched an investigation into X’s reliance on Community Notes for combating misinformation. The overall effectiveness and application of Community Notes, especially in light of this new ranking, remains a topic of interest and debate.
