Representative Elise Stefanik has lodged an ethics complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron, alleging bias and unusual conduct in the ongoing trial.

This move is perceived as a strategy to bolster Trump’s position for a potential appeal, following a series of testimonies that experts suggest have not favored their case.

Judge Engoron, presiding over the non-jury trial, is responsible for issuing verdicts, setting penalties, and addressing additional claims in the lawsuit. The case, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, demands $250 million in damages and seeks to permanently prohibit Trump from operating a business in New York.
