According to a recent poll, Americans’ views of President Trump’s actions in recent criminal cases are sharply divided along party lines. About half of respondents believe his alleged interference in Georgia’s vote count was illegal. On the other hand, a majority of Americans (53%) approve of the Justice Department’s decision to indict Trump for his efforts to remain in office after losing the 2020 election.

Despite his overall unpopularity, Trump remains highly regarded within the GOP. Approximately 70% of Republicans view him favorably, and roughly 60% want him to run for the White House again.
